We have been going through focus on the family's "The Truth Project". It is excellent, highly recommended. Last Tuesday, the thing that really stood out to me was that our search for significance is what has caused so many of the problems in history and in our lives today. In trying to appear important, we become like the pharisees. We do things to bring glory to ourselves, rather than to bring glory to God. And in doing that, we lose sight of why we are even doing these things, and it becomes a meaningless show. I hope and pray that God will help me to only do things for His glory, not mine. This is a fault that I have recognized in myself!
